Here is the second week of college football picks I made back in August. If you want to get into the action click on the links! Look for my Week 4 preview at the end of the week if you are making any travel plans. Look for my Week 4 preview at the end of the week if you are making any travel plans. I hope my top pick from week 2 is as good as my week 1 pick!
- Miami at Florida - 8:00 PM - $246 to $946 - The game of the week from my season preview. I don’t think the U is all the way back and will have a tough time with the defending champs. Should be fun for the Gator fans at home.
- Oregon St. at Penn State - 3:30 PM - $40 to $465 - The Beavers visit Beaver Stadium. This is the first time meeting between the two programs. Should be a fun day in Happy Valley for everyone in Blue and White. I will be at the game, so needless to say I am looking forward to this one. I hope there are some Beaver fans who make the trip and decide to stop by the Creamery for some ice cream! I recommend Peachy Paterno as does everyone else.
- BYU at Washington - 3:00 PM - $49 to $172 - Interesting matchup between the cougars and the huskies. A real cat and dog fight…well I don’t think that was needed. At any rate…I think this will be a close game and look for BYU to win for the first time at Washington.
- Stanford at Arizona St - 10 PM - $6 to $112 - It seems the PAC 10 has a lot of interesting matchups this week. They have some in conference games and out of conference games. Stanford had the second best upset of the year last season against USC. I don’t think they will take an up and coming Arizona State team though. The Sun Devils will want to roll because they have preseason number 1 Georgia coming in two weeks.
- Ole Miss at Wake Forest - 3:30 PM - $18 to $73 - The Rebs and the Demon Deacons face off in a nice regionally televised matchup. So if you live anywhere outside the south east you might want to head to the game. After Wakes nice 8-4 season last year, they will want to take that next step and compete in the ACC Atlantic. Ole Miss will want to rebound from a bad season last year and hopefully can show some SEC strength on the road.
- Georgia Tech at Boston College - 12:00 PM - $15 to $118 - Yellow Jackets and Eagles in Bean Town. I like BC at home in this conferance bout. From a pure football Xs and Os perspective this should be a great matchup. Georgia Tech is adding a new offense this season so they could catch Boston College by surprise. If you are up in New England check out this game and then enjoy the rest of the games on TV later in the day.
- South Florida at UCF - 7:00 PM - The other Florida battle takes place in Orlando. So the Bulls and the Knights might not be as well known as the Gators and Canes. But you know what, between them both they only had 6 losses last year. These are two good programs that will surprise a lot of teams this year and will be bowl bound.
- California at Washington St. - 6:30 PM - $11 to $55 - Both teams are coming off big non-conferance home games. The Cougars get to stay at home for the start of their conferance schedule. I like the Bears here on the road while the Cougars have a little bit of a let down game after the opener. Two great games in the state of Washington this week, so go out there and support your teams!
- Cincinnati at Oklahoma - 3:30 PM - $31 to $348 - The Sooners will be putting the Bearcats in their place on Saturday. This is the first “big” game for both teams, obviously this is a much bigger game for Cincinnati. Another first time meeting so get out there and see it for the first time!
- South Carolina at Vanderbilt - Thur. Sep. 4 8:30 PM - If you live in Nashville and Do Not care about the NFL Season Opener, go see this game! Should be a good SEC east battle and is there anyone from Tennessee that likes Steve Spurrier? Anyone? Well I am going to pick the Gamecocks here because I just think they are a better team.
